Reid Strength

About Marcus Reid, personal trainer in Atlanta. From burnout to the coach I needed.

Certified trainer and performance coach. Ten years helping busy professionals get strong and stay that way.

I was the busy professional.

At 27 I was a financial analyst working 70-hour weeks, 40 pounds heavier than my college sprint days, with a back that hurt every morning.

I tried the extreme programs. I quit all of them by week three. What finally worked was boring and brilliant: three focused strength sessions a week, protein at every meal, and a coach who expected me to show up.

In 2015 I got certified so I could give other people what that coach gave me. I opened the Reid Strength studio in 2018 and have coached more than 500 clients since, most of them parents, executives, nurses and founders with no time to waste.

My job is simple: make strength fit your life.

The Reid Method.

Four principles behind every program, from a single session to the 12-week transformation.

  1. Assess

We test how you move, what you can lift and where you hurt, so nothing is guessed.

  2. Build

Three short, heavy, progressive sessions a week. Strength first, everything else follows.

  3. Fuel

Protein, plants and enough sleep. Habits that work at client dinners and airports.

  4. Sustain

Weekly check-ins and honest feedback until the routine runs without me.

Certified to coach every part of the job.
